Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

1.      Must have passed Matriculation (10th class) under 10+2 system with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

2.      Must possess ITI certificate in relevant trade affiliated to NCVT.

3.      Qualification must be completed as on 18/02/2026.

Not Eligible:

• Candidates awaiting SSC/ITI results
• ITI failed candidates
• Engineering Graduates and Diploma Holders

 Age Limit (as on 23/03/2026)

• Minimum Age: 15 Years
• Maximum Age: 24 Years

Date of Birth Range (UR):

Born between 24/03/2002 to 23/03/2011

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

• Selection strictly on Merit Basis
• Merit calculated by averaging:
• Matriculation percentage (minimum 50%)
• ITI percentage
• Equal weightage to both
• No Written Test
• No Viva

Tie-breaking:

1.      Older candidate preferred

2.      Earlier Matriculation pass date preferred

Final selection subject to:

• Document Verification
• Medical Fitness Certificate

Pay Scale / Stipend

• Training Period: 1 Year
• Stipend: As per extant rules & Railway Board directives

• Multiple applications for same trade will be rejected.

Medical Standards

• Medical Certificate required (Annexure-G)
• Issued by Government Authorized Doctor (Assistant Surgeon or above)
• Trade-wise disability criteria provided
• 4% reservation for PwBD

Training & Agreement

• Apprenticeship Contract mandatory
• Must be registered with Apprenticeship Adviser
• No claim for Railway employment after training
• No hostel facility
• Free medical treatment for accident during training

• No TA/DA for DV
• No change of Trade/Division after selection
• No correspondence entertained
